Another program to rival Microsoft Live SkyDrive using Microsoft Office 2010

The cloud is getting crowded.
Google just purchased a Microsoft Azure and Live SkyDrive competitor.
In Office 2010 there is the ability to save your work to your Live SkyDrive account.

Google purchased DocVerse that allows for saving to online storage, multiple simultaneous editing, versioning, and a URL to the document that doesn’t change throughout the life of the editing process.

Honestly, it looks like what Groove was supposed to be except it is online.

Buy Office 2007 now get Office 2010 for free, confirmed starting March 5th 2010.

Purchase and activate a qualifying Office 2007 product between March 5, 2010, and September 30, 2010, and you can download Office 2010 at no additional cost.

Despite earlier posting of these details on the Microsoft Partner Program and the subsequent removal of the offer, here is the official announcement.

1Buy Office 2007

Purchase a qualifying Office 2007 product (with or without a new PC) from an authorized reseller between March 5, 2010 and September 30, 2010. See the eligibility requirements for more information.

Save your Office 2007 dated sales receipt and keep your Product Key in a safe place.

Below are some of the Office 2007 products that qualify for the Technology Guarantee.

2Install and activate Office 2007

When Office 2010 is available in your country or region and language, return to this site to request your upgrade no later than October 31, 2010.
